DeFabrique frequently hosts corporate festivals or other such events that involve serving food from food trucks. Food trucks come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from construction trailers to motorhomes. A cool venue such as DeFabrique should be paired with cool food trucks, so when owner Jan van Eck bought a Chevrolet ambulance from the 80s, food manager Joep knew just what to do!
“Our construction team turned the ambulance into a proper food truck from which to serve the most delectable dishes during events, such as pulled pork pitas, crispy golden chips, and sizeable hamburgers.” Thanks to its cool appearance, the Food Ambulance makes for the perfect addition to DeFabrique’s existing concepts.
The event producers are very happy with the food truck: “Food trucks are incredibly popular, and now that we have our own, we will be able to more easily respond to the needs of clients who are looking for an original place to serve food from,” says Berber. She also identifies a second advantage: “If the food runs out quicker than expected during an event, the Food Ambulance can make it to the scene within 15 minutes!”
