The ‘Smederij’s multifunctional rooms are events venue DeFabrique’s latest proud addition. The proportion of glass lends a transparent character to this extraordinary building.
‘The repurposing of this old mixed feed factory into a modern events venue began well over 15 years ago now,’ says commercial director Sybren Ophof, a great believer in organic growth. ‘On top of the 350 events we organise each year, we are seeing an increase in the demand for sub rooms for meetings, brainstorming sessions, and presentations.’ As such, Ophof decided to tackle another building.
‘A former storage space has been turned into a new inspiring hotspot, the ‘Smederij’. In the afternoon, the sunlight invites guests to forge new friendships on the private terrace with a view of the characteristic elevator.’
Connected and yet set apart
Alongside the 250m2 large ‘Smederij’, which makes for a perfect presentation room and features an industrial catering plaza, this venue also contains four sub rooms, ‘Smederij a, b, c, and d’. Thanks to the glass walls, the guests in all of the different sub sessions are still connected with one another.
Carefree brainstorming
All spaces are equipped with modern audiovisual technology, LED lighting, free Wi-Fi, and white bucket seats. The sub rooms boast 65-inch LCD screens. We also offer free parking with professional support right here on our grounds.
The ‘Smederij’ can be reserved for events after January 1st, 2018.
